If happiness is enjoying the good and coping with the bad then here’s 7 tips for dealing with stress

Tough times don't have to be so tough if you know what you're doing. 

Happiness doesn't have to be just something you enjoy when everything's going right. 

We can't be happy every minute of every day, and it's normal and appropriate to experience "negative emotions" from time to time but for real and meaningful happiness we do want to try to minimise those down times and we do want to bounce back from adversity as quickly and effectively as possible. 

So if you want more good times, and if you want to enjoy more happiness even during stressful periods in your life, there here are 7 tips for dealing with stress…

  1. Remind yourself that "this too shall pass"

  2. Reflect back on what's helped previously 

  3. Ask yourself "Is it really that bad?"

  4. Focus as much as possible on what you can control (and not so much on what you can't control) 

  5. Exercise (helps in so many ways) 

  6. Practice meditation and/or relaxation strategies

  7. Reach out and ask for help (you don't have to do it all on your own)
