Ensuring happiness in hybrid / remote work

Hybrid and remote work have changed the way we live and work; and like most changes, they come with both upsides and downsides.

More flexibility, less commuting, and greater autonomy can be wonderful.
But less connection, blurred boundaries, and the risk of always being “on” can make work feel harder, not easier.

The truth is, there’s no perfect system.
Office, remote, or hybrid; each has benefits and costs.

What matters most is what we each do with the situation we’re in.

We can be intentional about staying connected.
We can create clearer boundaries between work and home.
We can take responsibility for our energy, our habits, and our wellbeing.
And we can remember that flexibility works best when it’s paired with discipline.

Work doesn’t have to be perfect to be good.
But it does work better when we take an active role in shaping how we do it.
