Happiness is being able to live with what ifs …

What if you didn’t have to solve every problem?

What if you didn’t have to get it right every time?

What if you didn’t have to feel good every day?

What if it were OK to slow down and to rest?

What if you accepted that you can’t please all the people all the time?

What if you allowed yourself to get and to be lost?

What if you embraced those bulges and wrinkles?

What if you remembered that you could still get through the day despite imperfect sleep?

What if things didn’t always look rosy?

What if you knew you had a lot of good in your life but just couldn’t feel appreciative?

What if you felt alone, and lonely?

What if you were fully aware of all your faults and failings?

What if you struggled to have fun some days?

What if … ALL OF THIS WERE OK?

Because it is all OK. It’s all normal; at least at times. We all feel like this some days and as long as it’s not all too overwhelming or pervasive, it’s OK not to feel happiness, or any positive emotions, at times.

What if you could live with all these what ifs?
