03 Oct Sometimes the best things for you are the hardest things to do
As someone who’s studied and taught principles of psychology and self-help for several decades now, I’m pretty confident that I know what I need to do to be happy and successful.
I’m not being immodest when I note that I know a lot about happiness and wellbeing, and I know a lot about what makes for MY happiness and wellbeing.
But that doesn’t mean I always do what I know I should do.
Some things, like meditation and exercise, I find relatively easy.
Other things, like connecting with and maintaining the important relationships in my life, I find a bit harder.
But they’re so VERY important I can usually make the effort I need to make to do what I need to do.
And I’m pretty sure the same is true for you. You, more than likely, know what you could do to enjoy more happiness and health and productivity and success (or whatever it is you’re trying to achieve).
But you also probably know that some parts of that are harder than others.
Make the effort. Do what you need to do EVEN when you don’t feel like it, especially when you don’t feel like it. Because the “return on investment” makes any effort worthwhile!
