Following on from tip 1, which highlighted the benefits of giving for emotional wellbeing, tip 2 derives from research that strongly supports the benefits in terms of connection and positive relationships.
Acts of generosity foster trust, gratitude, and deeper connections with others. Giving strengthens bonds, making us feel more supported and valued in our communities.
In my opinion, this is a much underrated benefit of giving and a much needed gift we can all give to and receive from the world!
The bottom line is that in giving, we ALL receive. Generosity benefits everyone.
So, taking care of ourselves becomes a foundation for taking care of others!
