20 Feb Creating Happiness Series (Post 4)
One of the most common mistakes many of us make when it comes to creating happiness and self-development more generally is to focus all our efforts on fixing all our weaknesses.
Don’t get me wrong; we all have faults and failings and self-improvement is a very worthy endeavour.
But it shouldn’t be at the expense of maximising what we’re best at.
Just as we all have weaknesses, so too do we all have strengths. The problem is, most people don’t know what they are and/or they don’t actively use them enough.
So, today’s tip is to identify your top psychological strengths (you can do that for free HERE) and then … actively and consistently look for ways to use your strengths each and every day in all parts of your life.
It’s actually fun! It makes self-help fun. And if you do it right, working on yourself can become an endeavour that’s motivating and inspiring and energising!
