Making a new start in the New Year

Making a new start in the New Year

Every year when we reach about this time I struggle to write and talk about New Years Resolutions.

Not because they’re not a good idea; but more so, because I don’t understand why people would wait until December 31 or January 1 to make a change if or when they know a change needs to be made.

That being said, I’m well aware that landmark dates like NYE, or birthdays, can be significant, and motivating, and so if that works for you then … great!

But today, I want to address another aspect of New Year Resolutions that I think many of us get wrong; and that’s assuming they need to be HUGE or MAGNIFICENT or MOMENTOUS in some way.

If you want or need to change your whole life then go for it; but please note, it won’t be easy.

And it’s not necessary for most of us anyway.

More of than not, we just need a few TWEAKS, some little adjustments here and there which might then create momentum for a greater sense of real and meaningful health and wellbeing, happiness and satisfaction.

Not only is this more common for most of us but it’s also far more achievable; and if we can achieve something small, we’ll more than likely feel motivated and inspired to go on to do something bigger!

So, with this in mind, what’s one tiny thing you could start on January 1 (or ASAP) that might make your life even just one tiny bit better?

What’s on micro-change you can make without too much effort that might create some micro momentum?

Remember, always, that from little things big things grow and so start small in 2025 and … grow big from there!
