What if happiness and a better life was just one step away …

I’m always loathe to oversimplify happiness by suggesting, for example, there’s a “secret” or “just one thing” you can do to be happier.

That being said, many of us overcomplicate happiness and life, and even if the real answers are more complex (which they are), they all begin with just one thing which when you think about it, can be relatively simple!

So, with that in mind, today I’m inviting you to think about one thing, all the “one things”, you can do to improve your life and to enjoy more joy pretty much immediately. And so … 

What’s one thing …

  • you could do today that would be meaningful in 12 months’ time?
  • you could do today your future health would thank you for?
  • you could focus on or think about that would help you feel more calm (and less stress)? 
  • about which you’re grateful right now?
  • you could do to help a friend?
  • you could ask for from a friend?
  • you could do to more fully (authentically) be you? 
  • you could do that would make you smile or laugh?

Now, to be clear, you don’t need to do ALL those one things; in fact, please don’t. 

But if you can answer any of those questions and come up with even just one thing that will bring about happiness or a better life in some way then I hope you find a way to do it.

And if you do, then maybe some time later, you can do another thing (and so on).
