Embrace the power of not knowing

Embrace the power of not knowing

Have you ever failed, only to look back at that seemingly negative life experience as one of growth and development, one that through careful consideration, reappraisal and active learning you become, in some way, stronger and wiser and even happier?

Have you ever, in the moment, felt grief and loss when something you really wanted didn’t eventuate, or when something you’d loved was taken away, only to look back some time later to realise that the absence freed you up to pursue or focus on something else that wonderfully turned out to be positive?

Have you ever faced up to fear and anxiety, willingly or through necessity, only to find on the other side, a fantastic form of happiness and joy and exhilaration?

The point is, we don’t always know what the long-term effects or consequences of many events will be. Too often, we make a judgement in the moment which may turn out to be incorrect days or weeks or months later.

But what if we could withhold judgement?

What if we could sit with the not knowing, to revel in the power of uncertainty?

If you answered “yes” to any of those questions above then I hope you’ll give this some consideration and more so, if you’re interested in enjoying more real and meaningful happiness, give it a try!
