Another roundup of interesting research and thought provoking articles

As there almost always is, the last week or so has thrown up some interesting research and some useful articles in the realms of positive psychology, psychology, self-help, self-development, and related topics such as happiness and resilience and more.

Here are just a few I’ve chosen to share with you toady …

  • for a long time now I’ve been encouraging those who read my works and/or who’re present at the events at which I speak to say YES to that which is important to them. At the same time, I’ve always noted that it’s just as important to say NO to anything else, especially anything else that will get in the way of your yes!   • I know happiness is never as simple as coming down to “1 thing” so take the headline of this article with a grain of salt, but the premise of this post that your happiness and wellbeing come down to one word is worth reading, and you can do so … HERE
  • to be honest, my studies in psychology didn’t really include any focus on Jung (or Freud for that matter) but I have at times, dabbled in reading and trying to understand some of his ideas. In this article, via the Atlantic, Jung’s five pillars of a good life are outlined by Arthur C Brooks and might be worth some contemplation from anyone, presumably you, who’s interesting in seeking or creating more happiness.
