17 Oct If you do this one thing every day you’ll enjoy more happiness
As you may well have noticed, at least as I hope you’ve noticed, I made a shift several weeks ago from sharing articles written by others to writing my own, original content.
I’m not sure if anyone is reading them or not, but I’m enjoying the process.
And that’s the prompt for this article, another new and original one, today.
You see, there are some fantastic articles out there on happiness and positive psychology, on thriving and flourishing, and at times I wonder whether I can add any more value to the public domain.
Just today, for example, I received THIS in my inbox, from one of my favourite writers, and it’s just great!
Eric Barker is wonderful writer with a wonderful ability to summarise research findings in easy to understand language; and in this article he provides 11 “secrets” to enjoying more happiness and positivity. From being more open to more connected, to fostering kindness, spending more time in nature and more, he maps out a number of paths to living happier and better.
Now, none of these “secrets” are necessarily new to me; and if you’re a regular consumer of self-help happiness boosting articles then they probably won’t be new to you either, but that’s not really the point.
If you read JUST ONE ARTICLE each and every day you’ll either learn something new about happiness OR be reminded to do something you know you should do to feel better.
Reading and learning and reminding yourself of what’s important, is a simple thing you can do EVERY DAY to boost your mood. Many of the articles to which I refer only take 5 minutes or so which means you can improve the quality of your life by spending just a few minutes in this way, daily.
Happiness isn’t always easy; but this simple tip can easily give you a head start or a kick start to more positivity and to more positive emotions!
