04 Jun How to live a good life when you have no idea what you’re doing!
by Dr Tim Sharp (aka Dr Happy)
So many self-help books and articles and speakers invite readers and listeners to “live their best possible lives”…
…which sounds like a great idea; except, that is, if you have no idea who you are or what you’re doing!
Which sadly, is the reality for many people (myself included much of the time).
But, as strange as it might sound, not having a clue need not preclude you living a wonderful and happy life.
How could that be so?
Well, one doesn’t need to know the whole journey before taking the first (or even the second and subsequent) step!
But what if you’re unsure about that first step? Consider one or more of these options:
- What’s worked in the past? What energised you and/or brought you to life? About what were you passionate when you were young and without responsibilities?
- Who do you admire; why do you admire them; and could you copy some or all of what they do?
- What are you values? And what would you do next if you were fully living your values each and every day?
- What’s something you’ve always thought of doing but not gotten around to doing yet? Work out a plan to DO IT ASAP!
So give it a go; and remember, a great life need not be a perfect life!
…So that’s today’s mailing. Take some time to reflect upon the message and how it might apply to you. Check out, also, the links below for some additional readings and resources.
I hope it helps you enjoy some more happiness. Until next time…
Keep well & keep smiling
