Have you ever asked for love?

Have you ever asked for love?

Check out this morning’s free, weekly eNewsletter…

I don’t know about you, but sometimes (although thankfully not all the time) I feel down and sad and alone…

…but the reality is, I’m not alone. I have a wonderful family, good friends, fantastic professional colleagues and even a community of people, many of whom I’ve never met in the “real world”, but who follow me on social media and/or receive this eNewsletter!

There are times, however, that I sometimes forget they’re there.

And there are times I sometimes forget that they’re ready, willing and able to help and support me.

Just the other week I was going through one of those distressing times when I decided to do something I’ve never done before. I posted a message on Instagram stating the following:

I need some love
Think you can send me some?

Within minutes I was swamped with hundreds of “likes” and more comments than I’ve had for almost any previous post. I also received a number of direct messages from people who I knew personally, offering love and support and encouragement.

It really was quite wonderful. And it made me realise that most of the time I sit back and passively wait for love; which I’m lucky enough to receive fairly regularly from my wonderful wife, my children and close family members.

But why should we wait? If we need something, like love, why shouldn’t we reach out and ask for it?

I certainly found my “experiment” extremely helpful and will definitely be doing it more often. What about you? Will you give it a try?

…So that’s today’s mailing. Take some time to reflect upon the message and how it might apply to you. Check out, also, the links below for some additional readings and resources.

I hope it helps you enjoy some more happiness. Until next time…

Keep well & keep smiling
Tim Sharp (aka Dr Happy)
