30 Sep An interesting approach using positive psychology to overcome depression and find happiness
Traditionally, psychologists have treated depression with effective approaches such as cognitive behaviour therapy that help sufferers identify and change maladaptive thinking patterns and bad habits. Although this continues to be the best approach, positive psychology is now giving us additional strategies to help people move beyond just overcoming distress to finding real and lasting positive emotions (such as happiness and contentment etc).
