You are not the world around you

Today’s post is a quick and simple one.

Although as always, that doesn’t mean it’s easy to apply!

But in short … we are NOT the world around us. The world around us will always be filled with problems and challenges, with stressors and worries. 

We DO NOT NEED TO BE these stressors and worries!

At the moment, for example, I have several very real reasons to feel anxious and concerned; and this is just in my personal life, not even taking into account the larger, global problems.

But that doesn’t mean I have to BE anxious and concerned.

I am trying to acknowledge and accept all that is, but also to let it go and remind myself that there’s still much good in my life, in my world, and still so much for which I can feel grateful, happy and excited. 

And you can do this too!

You can, with practice, detach from the problems in the world, and the worries in your mind, and be you, be the positive and patient you, the you that’s filled with compassion and care, for yourself and for others.

As already noted, it’s not easy but it is possible; so do what you can to make the possibility a reality!
