Happiness and discipline

Happiness and discipline

Achieving happiness requires nothing more than practising a few simple disciplines every day.

This has long been our motto, here at The Happiness Institute, and it’s just been reinforced from two quite different stories.

Quite by coincidence, and a strange coincidence at that, I’ve been concurrently reading biographies of Warren Buffet (a book I was given after speaking one day and one I almost certainly would NEVER have bought myself) and the Dalai Lama.

In short, they could both be considered “successful” in their own (very different) ways and interesting, they could both be considered to have achieved their “success” in the same way…discipline!

Happiness doesn’t have to be overly complicated; it just requires doing the right things on a regular basis. So work out what you need to do; do it; and find more happiness.
