You can achieve happiness in life

Most of us can still sing the words” If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands, stamp your feet, nod your head, roar out loud,” etc.

To characters in the Peanuts comic strip, happiness is something plain, simple and tangible. For Linus, happiness is a thumb and a blanket, and for Snoopy, happiness is walking in the grass with bare feet. To Lucy, happiness is a warm puppy, and for Charlie Brown, happiness is a pile of leaves.

To others, happiness is a way of travel, not a destination. It could be what happens when you think, or speak. But most importantly, we need to remember that happiness is one thing to one person and another thing to others.

The long and short of happiness is an emotion associated with feelings of joy, contentment and satisfaction. We could probably add feelings of being cheerful, carefree and satisfied to the list as well. To many people, happiness comes from their own attitudes and relationships with others. With a positive mental attitude, individual happiness seems achievable, even if we find ourselves in hostile environments. My favorite individual to quote, Mark Twain, probably said it best, “Whoever is happy, will make others happy, too.”
