As regular readers of my writings would well be aware, at The Happiness Institute we believe happiness, and especially happiness at work, involves much more than just smiling and laughing and having fun. These things are all important but happiness at work ALSO involves finding meaning and purpose, as well as connecting with others and building positive relationships.
Showing colleagues and employees that you care is not just a ‘soft skill”…it’s a vitally important strategy for building happiness at work which is then associated with engagement, morale and satisfaction – variables that are all associated with collaboration, innovation, retention and productivity.
