There’s an old story about a group of monks who lived with their master in a monastery. Their lives were orderly and peaceful. People from villages far and wide flocked to the monastery to bask in the warm spiritual environment.
One day the master died. At first, the monks continued on as they had in the past, but after sometime, there was disunity. There was bickering, some pointing fingers of blame, others filled with guilt. The villagers, sensing something wrong gradually stopped coming.
