27 May Happiness and loving kindness
As some of you would know my thoughts and writings and teachings on happiness have, and continue to be influenced by buddhism. I’m not so bold as to call myself a buddhist but I continue to study buddhist writers and thinkers and one of the concepts I’ve begun to try to practice is loving kindness.
At The Happiness Institute we have for some time now argued that happiness is not just a solo or selfish pursuit but rather, it’s also about how we think about and interact with others. The concept of loving kindness seems to take this a few steps further.
I don’t intend to write a long dissertation on this now or here but what I wanted to share with you is that since I’ve been thinking about this and meditating on loving kindness I’ve felt a sense of peace and calm that is highly enjoyable.
Want more happiness? Think about this concept and how you can practise it and no doubt I’ll be writing more about it soon.
