Happiness within

Happiness within

We have, at The Happiness Institute, recently re-designed some of our promotional material and in short…the brochures now look great!

Everyone has been lavishing praise on our graphic designer (who happens to be my wife!) who seems somewhat surprised by all the fuss. It seems she doesn’t believe the work she’s done is anything special, although we all think it’s fabulous.

This got me thinking…how often do we take our skills, strengths, our own very qualities and talents for granted? How often do we diminish our own achievements? What would it be like (in happiness terms) if we appreciated ourselves the way others do?

Happiness is about seeing things realistically and part of reality is that we’re all good at certain things…but many of us take our own “goodness” for granted. If we really want to experience true and meaningful happiness it might help to first identify our inner strengths and to appreciate that at which we are good!
