Dalai Lama Speaks On Peace And Happiness To Millennium Park Crowd

More than 10,000 people jammed Millennium Park Sunday to hear the Dalai Lama speak. CBS 2’s Joanie Lum had an exclusive interview with the leader of Tibet before he spoke to people of all faiths gathered to hear him.

“In thinking, the main thing is a calm mind,” the Dalai Lama said. “Look at your enemy as part of society, your own family.”

The Dalai Lama spoke to an audience of 11,000 at Millennium Park, speaking as merely a man and not a miracle healer. The area was filled with a diverse audience — some waiting for four hours to get through security into the Pritzker Pavillion.
