Imperfection and happiness

Imperfection and happiness

Life is not fair. It is full of injustices and tragedies.

Noone is perfect. We all make mistakes and on occasions, do the wrong thing.

But the good news is that we can still be happy despite this! In fact, I’m starting to think that happiness is the realisation and acceptance of these realities.

That does not mean we can’t try to improve the world and ourselves…but it does probably mean that if we want to achieve happiness we almost certainly need to recognise that we will never experience perfection or nirvana (not in this life, anyway!).

So happiness and imperfection can co-exist…that’s not such a bad thought now is it?
