25 Feb Happiness and acceptance
In recent weeks the following scenario has occured twice, in two very different contexts.
I was feeling frustrated with several people who are very important in my life.
At the same time, I’ve found a renewed interest in mindfulness meditation and on reflection, I realised that they were doing little wrong but rather, were simply being who they are.
Happiness, I believe, is very closely associated with love and love is very much about accepting others for who and what they are. It doesn’t necessarily have to mean you have to agree with every thing the other person does or says but it does mean that happiness is far more likely with a degree of acceptance!
