REMOVING the clutter from your desk, developing better relationships with your colleagues and even taking a nap in the afternoon can all help to beat work-related stress, according to a report published in the New Scientist today.

Global competitiveness has been blamed for growing stress levels in the UK, with a recent survey showing more than a quarter of men were suffering from exhaustion related to stress and overwork.

But, according to scientists, taking simple steps such as reorganising your working area, making an effort to be sociable and negotiating your working hours, can all help to improve your frame of mind.
