The Pursuit of Happiness (with a “y”)

The Pursuit of Happiness (with a “y”)

Hi there and happy monday morning.

After planning to do so for a while now, I finally took advantage of an opportunity to see the relatively new movie, The Pursuit of Happyness (with the ‘y’ intentionally being there as it’s part of the movie’s plot), staring Will Smith and his incredible son.

Now I don’t want to say too much in case some of you are yet to see it, and plan to see it some time soon (and I’d highly recommend you do see it as it’s a wonderful, if somewhat emotionally draining, movie), but in essence, there were a few key, take home messages I thought I’d share with you this morning.

– Everyone can (and arguably should) pursue happiness

– Life’s not fair

– If you really want to, you can overcome almost any obstacle

– Happiness and success come to those who work hard and persist

– Appreciate what you have

Once again, I don’t want to spoil the movie for those of you yet to see it but these lessons are worth thinking about and ideally, where relevant, putting into practice in your own life.

For all of you, have a great and happy day, week and life!
