29 Dec Happiness as the moral purpose of life
Many years ago I remember being fascinated and stimulated by the writings of Ayn Rand (author of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged).
Just today, I stumbled across the website of the Ayn Rand Institute and found the following quote attributed to Ayn Rand:
“My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute.”
All I can say is…what a wonderful philosophy and what a great happiness quote.
