Happiness is contagious among friends

One person’s happiness starts a chain reaction that spreads to their friends and even their friend’s friends, researchers found.

Scientists have taken advantage of the tight networks of friends and family who are enrolled in the Framingham Heart Study to examine how social behaviors can spread. Previous reports have included obesity spreading among friends and quitting smoking spreading among friends.

This time, they take on happiness.
